  • Ensuring that all designers comply with their duties under CDM 2015, including the provision of residual risk information.
  • Advising on and coordinating the submission of F10 notifications to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
  • Preparing, reviewing, and developing Pre-Construction Information (PCI) to ensure it is suitable, sufficient, and communicated to relevant dutyholders.
  • Liaising with the Principal Contractor to share design risk information and support the development of the Construction Phase Plan (CPP).
  • Providing clear information about significant residual risks that cannot be eliminated through design.

While similar, BRPD has additional duties around the Gateway process and Golden Thread documentation.

If you are responsible for a workplace, commercial premises, or rental property with common areas, you are legally required to have a fire risk assessment under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. This includes offices, shops, care homes, HMOs, and most non-domestic premises.

IOSH courses are shorter awareness and management courses suitable for supervisors and general staff. NEBOSH qualifications are more in-depth professional qualifications ideal for those pursuing H&S as a career. IOSH Managing Safely is 3-4 days, while NEBOSH General Certificate is typically 10 days.

Under the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, every employer must appoint one or more competent persons to assist them in meeting their health and safety duties. This can be an employee with sufficient training or an external consultant like ourselves.

Fire risk assessment costs vary based on property size and complexity. Our prices start from £79 for small residential premises and go up to £1,500+ for large commercial or complex buildings. Contact us for a free quote specific to your property.
